Why We Exist
We Founded Ethida Because…
There are several fundamental problems in present day software project design and development.
- Software projects become ever more feature-specific and complicated
- Developers become ever more narrowly specialized with regard to the technologies they use to develop projects
- The person or organization that seeks to assign a project and a project designer might not be able to find common language due to differences in areas of competence.
- Such mismatches can cause software projects to become overspecced and unnecessarily expensive. It is not uncommon to see projects that have been poorly specified to never become completed, or to cause significant budget overruns.
This Is Where We Come
For the past decade, we have operated on the junction point between customers who want to adopt new software projects for their organizations, and the development teams that are tasked to do that. We are:
- Able to understand and “translate” the customer’s requirements into terms that make it easier for dev teams to assess the required time and resources for implementation.
- Realistically evaluate whether there is a good match between what the customer expects to receive and what the developer has proposed in terms of technology stack (languages and software platforms used, third-party SaaS, bare-metal specs, etc.) and manpower.
- Able to foresee and avoid costly mistakes during the planning and excution stage of the project.
